Delhi has secured INR 803 crore in funding under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund to support extensive road and flyover development works. The Public Works Department has planned more than 140 projects covering strengthening, resurfacing, widening and construction of key corridors across Central, North, East, North-East, Shahdara and North-West districts.

In the North-East district, upgrades are planned for the ISBT Kashmere Gate-Wazirabad Road and the Loni Chakkar-Delhi border route, along with proposed flyovers on Road No. 63 and the Gokulpuri stretch. Shahdara will see improvements from Aali Vihar to Lal Kuan, strengthening of the Vivek Vihar-GT Road connector, and the upgrading of Shahdara Hospital Road and feeder corridors.

In East Delhi, projects include repairs on the Vikas Marg stretch from ITO to D-93, M.P. Road No. 108, and the Kondli Bridge Corridor, along with widening of the Noida Link Road and its adjoining bypasses. Central and New Delhi are set to witness upgrades on the ITO Loop and Ferozeshah Road, with road strengthening near IP College and Mall Road, and a proposed flyover on Rohtak Road between Military Road and Jhansi Road.

South and South-East Delhi have been earmarked for new links from Aali Vihar to Sarita Vihar village, strengthening of Press Enclave Road, and improvements along the Nizamuddin-Kalkaji stretch. In the West and South-West, proposed works include strengthening the Outer Ring Road from Vikas Puri to Najafgarh Drain with a new flyover, extending the Ashoka Road-Laxmi Vihar corridor, rehabilitating the Dwarka Approach Road, and building an elevated flyover between Rajouri Garden and Tagore Garden.

With a focus on durability and safety, the upcoming works are expected to reduce travel times, provide smoother commutes and create resilient infrastructure capable of meeting Delhi's future mobility demands.
