Synopsis

MHADA has launched its latest online housing lottery in Nashik under the Inclusive Housing Policy, offering 478 flats priced between INR 5.48 lakh and INR 27 lakh. Spread across six neighbourhoods, with the largest supply in Mhasrul and Agar Takli, these compact homes are aimed at the Economically Weaker Section. The registration process is open only through MHADA's official website and mobile app. Officials stressed that no middlemen are authorised. This initiative marks the third such lottery by the Nashik Board this year.

MHADA has rolled out a new online housing lottery in Nashik as part of its 20 per cent Inclusive Housing Policy, designed to bring affordable homes to low-income families. The scheme specifically caters to the Economically Weaker Section, addressing the increasing residential demand in the city.

A total of 478 flats are being offered across six Nashik localities: Deolali Shivar (22), Gangapur Shivar (50), Pathardi Shivar (64), Mhasrul Shivar (196), Nashik Shivar (14), and Agar Takli Shivar (132). The highest availability lies in Mhasrul and Agar Takli, while Nashik Shivar has the smallest allocation.

The flats range from compact studio units of 215 sq ft to 1-BHK homes of 537 sq ft. Prices begin at INR 5.48 lakh and extend up to INR 27 lakh. Compared to private developers, where a one-bedroom apartment typically costs between INR 35 lakh and INR 40 lakh, MHADA's offering highlights clear affordability.

The registration window opened this past week and applications are being accepted exclusively through MHADA?s official website and mobile app. Officials reminded applicants that no agents or intermediaries are authorised to handle transactions, and dealing with unauthorised parties carries risks.

The application process will conclude in the coming weeks, after which MHADA will release a list of eligible applicants. The draw itself will take place later, with details of date and venue yet to be announced.

This marks the third lottery launched by MHADA's Nashik Board this year, following earlier rounds involving flats, shops, and plots. While smaller than Mumbai's initiatives, these efforts represent Nashik's significant contribution to affordable housing.

Meanwhile, similar projects are continuing across Maharashtra, including an upcoming launch of nearly 5,000 flats in Mumbai around Diwali and more than 5,200 flats and plots in the Konkan region. Nashik's focus remains affordability for low-income groups, reinforcing its role in inclusive urban development.

Applicants were also reminded that no external fees or third-party charges are involved, and any claims suggesting otherwise should be treated as fraudulent.
