The proposal received clearances from both the State Investment Promotion Committee and the State Investment Promotion Board.

The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 2,776 acres of land in Racharlapadu village, SPSR Nellore district, to IFFCO Kisan SEZ Limited for the development of a Private Large Industrial Park (PLIP). The approval came after the project was cleared first by the State Investment Promotion Committee (SIPC) and later by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), which is chaired by Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The planned industrial park is being taken up under the Plug and Play Industrial Infrastructure Policy 2024-29. The policy aims to promote world-class private industrial parks by providing ready-to-use infrastructure, simplifying clearances, and encouraging land pooling arrangements with farmers. The government expects that such projects will attract significant private investment while boosting employment opportunities at the regional level.

IFFCO Kisan SEZ Limited has committed an investment of INR 870 crore for this project. According to the company's plan, the industrial park is projected to create nearly 70,000 jobs once operational. This is expected to bring a major push to local economic activity in Nellore district, which already hosts several industrial and infrastructure projects due to its strategic location and connectivity.

The state government has been focusing on strengthening its industrial base and attracting large-scale private projects to create long-term growth. The upcoming industrial park at Racharlapadu is being seen as a step forward in this direction and is also expected to encourage more private developers to come forward under the Plug and Play policy framework.
