Vikram Solar has secured a 336 MW module supply order from L&T Construction for the Khavda solar project, strengthening its role in India's solar energy expansion. The order involves Hypersol G12R modules that offer high bifaciality, improved temperature performance, and low degradation, making solar power more affordable. Earlier in the year, the company also supplied 326 MW of modules to GIPCL for the same region. With a 4.5 GW production capacity and operations in 39 countries, Vikram Solar continues to lead in efficient solar module manufacturing in India.
Vikram Solar has won a 336 MW module supply order from L&T Construction for the Khavda solar project in Gujarat. Under this contract, the company will provide its Hypersol G12R modules, which are based on N-type technology, according to a company statement. These modules are designed to enhance Balance-of-System (BOS) efficiency and lower the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), making solar power more cost-effective and widely accessible.
The Hypersol G12R modules also offer improved bifaciality of up to 80 per cent, stronger performance at high temperatures, and minimal degradation over time. Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Solar, said the company is pleased to contribute to the project and noted that the region has significant potential for solar energy. He added that each project delivered by Vikram Solar reflects the trust placed in the company's technology, performance, and commitment.
Earlier this year, in May, Vikram Solar had secured a 326 MW module supply order from Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd (GIPCL) for the Khavda Renewable Energy Park. The consecutive orders highlight the growing demand for efficient solar modules in the region and the confidence that industry players have in Vikram Solar's technology.
Headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, Vikram Solar is one of India's leading solar module manufacturers, specializing in high-efficiency photovoltaic (PV) modules. The company has an international presence in 39 countries and a cumulative production capacity of 4.5 GW, making it one of the largest PV module manufacturers in India.
