The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has opened an online lottery for 478 flats in Nashik, offering affordable housing for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The flats, ranging from 215 to 537 sq ft, are priced between INR 5.48 lakh and INR 27 lakh. Spread across six Shivar locations, the lottery allows applicants to register online until early October. This initiative follows earlier MHADA lotteries in Nashik, aiming to increase access to affordable housing in the region.
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced the sale of 478 flats in Nashik through an online lottery system. These flats are specifically reserved for applicants from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Prices range from INR 5.48 lakh to INR 27 lakh, while the unit sizes vary between 215 sq ft and 537 sq ft, providing options for small families and individuals seeking affordable housing.
The flats are distributed across six locations in Nashik, including Gangapur Shivar, Deolali Shivar, Pathardi Shivar, Mhasrul Shivar, Nashik Shivar, and Agar Takli Shivar. The breakdown of flats is as follows: 22 units in Deolali Shivar, 50 units in Gangapur Shivar, 64 units in Pathardi Shivar, 196 units in Mhasrul Shivar, 14 units in Nashik Shivar, and 132 units in Agar Takli Shivar. All units are being offered under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme, ensuring that EWS applicants receive priority.
Applications for the lottery began earlier this week and will continue until October 3, 2025, at 11:59 pm. Applicants are required to submit their forms through MHADA's official website or via the MHADA Lottery App, available on both Android and iOS platforms. MHADA has clarified that it has not appointed any external agents, consultants, or mediators for this lottery. Any dealings with such individuals are not recognized by MHADA or the Nashik Board, and applicants engaging with them do so at their own risk.
This lottery marks the third initiative by MHADA Nashik Board this year, following two previous lotteries that allotted a total of 379 flats, 105 commercial shops, and 32 plots. Earlier this year, in April, MHADA also announced plans to conduct a large-scale lottery for around 5,000 affordable homes in Mumbai, planned to coincide with the Diwali period.
MHADA has emphasized that all applicants must carefully follow the official application procedure to ensure their eligibility and avoid fraudulent activity. The lottery system is designed to ensure transparency and fairness, giving genuine EWS applicants an opportunity to secure housing in a structured and organized manner.
