A 19-member team from Chennai Angels visited Sri City's Special Economic Zone to study investment potential and business prospects. The delegation, led by industrialist K Mahalingam of TSM Group, was welcomed by Sri City Founder and Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy. The visit included a detailed presentation on the zone's infrastructure, sustainability initiatives, and business-friendly setup. The delegation also visited industrial facilities of companies such as Daikin, Isuzu, and Colgate. The tour offered a closer look at the kind of global and domestic businesses operating within the SEZ and how large-scale units function in the region.
Chennai Angels, established in 2009, is a network of investors who not only provide capital to startups but also act as mentors. Members share business knowledge and experience to help entrepreneurs scale their ventures and overcome challenges in early stages of growth. Over the years, the group has built a strong reputation for backing innovation-driven enterprises across sectors.
Sri City itself has attracted a mix of multinational and domestic companies since its inception, positioning it as one of the important industrial hubs in South India. The SEZ's focus on sustainability and its ecosystem designed for business expansion were central highlights during the visit.
