Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has made eight luxury 3BHK flats in Tardeo's Crescent Tower available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Ranging from INR 5.95 crore to INR 7.58 crore with a carpet area of 2,285 sq ft, these high-end apartments were earlier leased to MHADA officials and vacated in 2022. An online lottery conducted in 2023 saw 43 applicants, but most withdrew after visiting the flats. The tower offers sea-facing views, security, gym, and quarters for domestic help, located near key city landmarks.
MHADA has started selling its premium apartments in Crescent Tower, Tardeo, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The project includes eight 3BHK flats, each with a carpet area of 2,285 sq ft, priced between INR 5.95 crore and INR 7.58 crore, depending on the floor level.
These apartments were earlier leased to MHADA officials and were vacated in 2022 to be offered to the public. In 2023, MHADA conducted an online lottery to allocate these flats. Although 43 applicants registered, most backed out after inspecting the property. An official explained that due to limited interest in completing payments post-lottery, MHADA has now moved to the first-come-first-serve model.
The highest-priced flat, costing INR 7.58 crore, is situated on the 20th floor and comes with exclusive amenities for domestic staff. Crescent Tower offers sea-facing views and is located close to landmarks such as the Willingdon Club, Nepean Sea Road, and Mahalaxmi Race Course. The building is also equipped with a security system, gymnasium, and dedicated quarters for house help.
MHADA plans to continue selling the remaining flats through this method before the upcoming 2025 lottery, which will include housing for Economically Weaker Sections, Middle Income Groups, and Low Income Groups.
