Synopsis

KPI Green Energy has secured a contract to develop a 100 MW solar power project under its captive power producer business segment. The project will be executed by its subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia, following the terms of the regulatory order. Multiple industrial investors awarded the project under the Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Purchase (DREBP) Policy. Scheduled for phased completion during 2026-27, this initiative strengthens KPI Green Energy's renewable energy portfolio and demonstrates its continued role in providing sustainable and distributed solar power solutions to meet growing industrial energy demands in India.

KPI Green Energy announced that it has received a contract to develop a 100 MW solar power project under its captive power producer business segment. The project will be implemented by the company's subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia, as per the terms of the regulatory order.


The project has been awarded by several industrial investors under the Distributed Renewable Energy Bilateral Purchase (DREBP) Policy, which supports industrial adoption of renewable energy through direct bilateral agreements. The solar project is planned to be executed in multiple tranches and is expected to reach completion during 2026-27.

KPI Green Energy has previously undertaken distributed solar projects, reinforcing its experience in delivering renewable energy solutions to industrial clients. This project is part of the company's broader strategy to expand its clean energy portfolio and support industries with sustainable and cost-effective power. The phased execution of the project will allow the industrial investors to gradually integrate solar power into their energy mix while aligning with India's renewable energy targets.
