Ashishkumar Chauhan, the Managing Director and CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), has purchased a 1,900 sq ft apartment in the upscale Lodha World Towers located in Worli, Mumbai. The property, situated on the 11th floor of The World Towers complex on Senapati Bapat Marg, was acquired for nearly INR 10 crore. Official documents show that the registered value of the apartment stands at INR 9.93 crore.

The unit comes with three designated car parking spaces and covers a total area of 1,989.31 sq ft. Chauhan purchased the apartment from Lodha Developers Limited, formerly known as Macrotech Developers Limited, and the property was officially registered earlier this week. Neither Lodha Developers nor Chauhan have provided any comments on the transaction.

As per NSE's annual report for 2024-2025, Chauhan's gross annual remuneration is INR 12.09 crore, with a net income of INR 6.78 crore. His investment in Lodha World Towers reflects a growing trend among prominent business leaders choosing high-end residential properties in Mumbai's prime locations.

The purchase comes amid a strong performance in Mumbai's real estate market, which recorded 10,630 property registrations during the festive season, marking a 23% increase from the previous year. This surge highlights the ongoing demand for premium apartments in the city, particularly in well-connected and established areas like Worli.

Earlier, regulatory officials such as SEBI chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey also leased a luxury apartment in Prabhadevi for INR 7 lakh per month, indicating continued interest in high-end housing by top executives in Mumbai.
