Smartworks Coworking Spaces Ltd announced the launch of SmartVantage, a tailor-made solution to facilitate the establishment of large Global Capability Centres in India. The company stated in a regulatory filing earlier this week that SmartVantage has been designed to accelerate the next phase of GCC expansion in the country.

Under this offering, Smartworks will provide large-format, whole-building campuses, many of which extend over 500,000 sq. ft. These campuses can be customised to reflect the specific identity and requirements of individual GCCs. With a portfolio of 12 million sq. ft. across 14 cities in India and Singapore, the firm will also ensure multi-city continuity and reduced time-to-market for these centres.

Neetish Sarda, Founder and Managing Director of Smartworks, explained that flexibility was vital for GCCs, as they require quick turnaround office solutions with the capacity to expand seamlessly. He added that the company's pan-India presence, ability to deliver office spaces within 60 days, and its extensive portfolio support these demands.

Through SmartVantage, Smartworks is also introducing a network of curated alliance partners who can assist GCCs with legal and compliance frameworks, taxation processes, talent acquisition, operational advisory, research and development, as well as innovation. Sarda highlighted that these partnerships enable Smartworks to provide comprehensive services across the entire spectrum, creating an ecosystem that supports the success of GCCs in India.

The company, which recently completed its stock exchange listing, indicated that this new initiative reinforces its role as a key facilitator for foreign enterprises seeking to establish or expand operations in the country.

Smartworks' SmartVantage initiative demonstrates its strategic move to cater specifically to the growing demand for Global Capability Centres in India. By combining flexible office infrastructure with essential support services through alliance partners, the company is aiming to deliver end-to-end solutions for international enterprises. With its scale, speed of delivery, and pan-India presence, Smartworks is positioning itself as a central enabler for GCC growth, thereby strengthening its foothold in the evolving Indian commercial real estate and coworking landscape.
