Synopsis

Signature Global has entered into a collaboration with WRI India to carry out a pilot study focused on reducing construction-related air pollution. The company, which has already introduced several dust mitigation initiatives such as air quality sensors, water sprinkling, site staff training, and covering materials, stated that the study would reinforce its current measures. The pilot project will take place at the company's Daxin development, where low-cost sensors will be installed to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of dust control strategies.

Signature Global recently announced that it had formed a partnership with WRI India to launch a pilot study aimed at reducing construction-linked air pollution. The developer noted that it had already undertaken proactive dust mitigation steps, which included setting up air quality monitoring sensors, carrying out regular sprinkling of water, using covering materials to curb dust, and training site staff to build their capacity in managing emissions.

The company explained that this new pilot with WRI India would strengthen these existing practices. Lalit Kumar Aggarwal, Co-founder and Vice Chairman of Signature Global (India) Ltd, remarked that the initiative was intended to show how data-driven approaches could make dust mitigation more effective and scalable.

The pilot study is being conducted at the developer's new project, Daxin. Low-cost sensors are being deployed on-site to track the impact of different dust control methods and to examine how such sensors can be used efficiently for site-level decision making.

Based in Gurugram, Signature Global is considered one of India's leading real estate developers. The company recorded sales bookings exceeding INR 10,000 crore in the last fiscal year and has set a target of INR 12,500 crore in pre-sales for 2025-26.

The tie-up between Signature Global and WRI India reflects a growing commitment within the real estate sector to adopt sustainable construction practices. By testing the role of low-cost sensors in monitoring and guiding dust mitigation strategies, the pilot seeks to create a model that can be scaled across projects. With its strong sales performance and ambitious pre-sales goals, Signature Global's environmental initiative demonstrates how leading developers are integrating green practices alongside commercial growth.
