Synopsis

Ministers from Sri Lanka and the Maldives visited Jakson Group's solar facility in Greater Noida to explore renewable energy collaborations. The visit included a review of the fully automated production lines and TOPCon photovoltaic modules. Discussions focused on technology adoption, project execution, and strengthening supply chains to support Sri Lanka's renewable energy goals and the Maldives' carbon-neutral ambitions. Jakson's investment plans, including a 6 GW integrated solar facility in Madhya Pradesh, demonstrate India's growing role in clean-energy manufacturing. The group has a long-standing presence in energy solutions, serving tens of thousands of clients across India.

Ministers from Sri Lanka and the Maldives recently visited Jakson Group's advanced solar module manufacturing plant in Greater Noida to review its technology and discuss potential collaboration in renewable energy projects. The delegation observed the fully automated production lines and learned about Jakson's latest photovoltaic solutions, including TOPCon modules, which have an annual manufacturing capacity of 1.2 GW and supply leading renewable energy initiatives.

The discussions centered on leveraging technology, improving project execution, and strengthening supply chains. The ministers explored how Jakson's expertise could aid Sri Lanka in reaching its goal of generating 70% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and assist the Maldives in achieving carbon neutrality while supporting long-term economic resilience.

Hon. (Eng.) Kumara Jayakody highlighted India's leadership in the global clean-energy transition and emphasized the importance of partnering to enhance energy security and sustainability in Sri Lanka. Mr. Muaviyath Mohamed stated that the Maldives is committed to a green future, and Jakson's innovation in renewable energy and alternate fuels supports responsible manufacturing and global carbon reduction efforts.

Jakson Group's Chairman, Mr. Sameer Gupta, expressed that hosting the ministers was an honor and noted the shared vision of India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives for a sustainable future. He added that Jakson is dedicated to providing high-quality solar solutions, including TOPCon technology, and building long-term partnerships to support the regional clean-energy transition.

Recently, Jakson announced an investment of over INR 8,000 crore in a 6 GW integrated solar module, cell, and wafer manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh, marking the largest solar manufacturing investment in the state. The project aligns with India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative and is expected to strengthen the domestic solar value chain.

Founded in 1947, Jakson Group has grown from Diesel Generator manufacturing to offering comprehensive energy solutions across Distributed Energy, Solar Power, Eco-friendly Energy, Alternative Fuels, and Energy Storage Systems, alongside Renewable, Civil, and Infrastructure EPC services. With six manufacturing plants, 30+ sales offices, 12 international offices, and a wide network of channel partners, Jakson serves over 75,000 customers and employs around 3,500 people, ranking among India's top ten energy companies.
