The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority granted approval to 21 projects with a cumulative investment of INR 7,035 crore. The approvals were made in the 184th meeting of the Authority, chaired by Sanjay Bhoosreddy. According to the statement, the clearances would lead to the creation of 10,866 residential and commercial units across the state.

Bhoosreddy noted that the sanctioning of 21 projects, bringing nearly 11,000 fresh units, demonstrated the continuing momentum in Uttar Pradesh's property sector. He further explained that with investments exceeding INR 7,000 crore, the developments would cater to housing demand across income groups while simultaneously generating significant economic activity within the state.

The projects are spread across districts including Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Mathura, Agra, Bareilly, Varanasi, and Barabanki, and cover residential apartments, villas, plotted developments, and commercial establishments. UP RERA highlighted that the projects would not only increase housing supply but also boost employment opportunities in construction and related industries, with dedicated provisions for the Economically Weaker Section.

An official confirmed that Noida and Greater Noida accounted for the largest share with eight projects, followed by three in Ghaziabad, and two each in Lucknow and Varanasi. One project each has also been approved in Mathura, Rampur, Agra, Bareilly, Barabanki, and Gorakhpur.

The approval of these projects underlines UP RERA's focus on strengthening both residential and commercial development across the state. By addressing housing needs across varied income brackets and incorporating provisions for the Economically Weaker Section, the Authority has sought to balance growth with inclusivity. Alongside meeting demand for housing, the developments are anticipated to contribute to employment creation, further reinforcing the importance of real estate as a driver of economic activity in Uttar Pradesh.
