Schloss Bangalore has officially adopted a new corporate identity as Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts Limited. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs gave its approval shortly after shareholders agreed to the change. The move is intended to align the listed company's name with its well-known brand, The Leela, which manages luxury hotels and resorts in India. Listed on the stock exchanges this June, the company will now also revise its memorandum and articles of association to reflect the updated name across all official records.
Schloss Bangalore has received formal approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to change its name to Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts Limited, and the change has taken effect immediately. The approval followed shareholder consent that was secured toward the end of the past week. The company stated in its regulatory filing that the name change was completed with effect from September 23, and it confirmed that updates to its memorandum and articles of association will also be carried out as part of the process.
The rebranding is aimed at bringing the company's corporate identity in line with its market-facing brand, The Leela, which runs luxury hotels and resorts across several Indian cities. The Leela brand, known for its premium hospitality services, has a strong presence in the country's luxury travel segment. Aligning the listed entity's name with the operating brand is expected to strengthen its visibility and recognition.
Schloss Bangalore had entered the stock exchanges in June under its original name. The company's shift to Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts Limited now ensures that its listed identity matches the brand that customers and industry stakeholders are more familiar with. By completing the legal amendments and updating all corporate records, the company is moving to ensure consistency across its operations, filings, and public communication.
