Bengaluru Airport City Ltd (BACL), a unit of Bangalore International Airport Ltd, has announced a strategic partnership with Prestige Group for the development of an expansive convention and exhibition centre within the airport precincts. The facility has been conceived as a dynamic, multi-format venue designed to accommodate international summits, trade exhibitions, cultural showcases, and innovation-focused gatherings.

According to BACL, the development will include an 8,000-seat Convention and Exhibition Centre, supported by a state-of-the-art performing arts theatre, a high-end luxury hotel under the St. Regis brand, and premium Grade A office spaces. The integrated nature of the project also promises a curated selection of food and beverage options and globally inspired dining experiences.

Rao Munukutla, Executive Director and CEO of BACL, expressed that the collaboration with Prestige Group reflected the organisation's aim to develop global-standard infrastructure. He remarked that such developments were crucial not only for supporting the region's broader economic growth but also for enhancing India's global presence in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector.

Echoing the sentiment, Irfan Razack, Chairman and Managing Director of Prestige Group, stated that the project reaffirmed the company's long-standing dedication to Bengaluru's urban and cultural evolution. He emphasised the prestige of including the St. Regis Hotel and the Convention and Exhibition Centre in what he described as a landmark development.

With an ambitious infrastructure plan that blends business, culture, and luxury, the project is set to elevate the city's airport zone into a vibrant hub of global engagement. This development aligns with the broader vision of integrating world-class amenities that contribute meaningfully to both regional growth and India's stature on the global MICE map.
