ACME Solar Holdings has been awarded a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy project by Tata Power-D under a 250 MW FDRE tender at a tariff of INR 4.43 per unit. The project will combine solar power with Battery Energy Storage System technology to maintain a minimum 40 per cent annual CUF and provide four hours of peak-hour supply with 90 per cent monthly availability. Scheduled to be commissioned within 24 months under a 25-year PPA, the project strengthens ACME Solar's 2,890 MW portfolio and highlights its focus on reliable, hybrid renewable energy solutions.
ACME Solar Holdings has secured a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project from Tata Power-D. The project was part of a 250 MW FDRE tender floated by Tata Power Company Limited and conducted under tariff-based competitive bidding guidelines. An e-reverse auction for the tender was held earlier this month, after which ACME Solar received the Letter of Award (LoA) for the project at a tariff of INR 4.43 per unit.
The project will be required to maintain a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40 per cent and ensure a supply of four hours during peak demand periods with 90 per cent monthly availability. These requirements aim to ensure reliable and consistent power delivery for Tata Power-D, a licensed electricity distribution company and a subsidiary of Tata Power.
To meet these obligations, the project will integrate multiple renewable energy technologies. It will combine solar power generation with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), enabling ACME Solar to provide firm and dispatchable power over the entire 25-year tenure of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The commissioning of the project is scheduled within 24 months from the date of signing the PPA, ensuring timely contribution to the grid.
ACME Solar Holdings is a leading integrated renewable energy company with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, storage, FDRE, and hybrid solutions. The company currently operates 2,890 MW of renewable energy capacity and has been actively participating in competitive renewable energy tenders across India. This project adds to ACME Solar's growing expertise in delivering reliable, hybrid renewable solutions capable of supporting both grid stability and long-term sustainable energy supply.
