IHG Hotels & Resorts announced that it had entered into a management agreement with Hotel Chetan International to develop two new properties in Bengaluru's KIADB Aerospace Park. The hotels, comprising a Crowne Plaza and a Holiday Inn Express, will collectively add more than 420 keys to India's hospitality market when they open in the first quarter of 2028. The development underscores the group's focus on strengthening its presence in India, where it already operates 51 hotels and maintains a substantial pipeline of new projects.
IHG Hotels & Resorts revealed earlier this week that it had signed a management agreement with Hotel Chetan International to establish two new hotels in Bengaluru. The two developments include the 210-key Crowne Plaza Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park and the 210-key Holiday Inn Express Bengaluru KIADB Aerospace Park, both strategically situated within the fast-growing aerospace hub of the city. According to the company's statement, these additions are intended to strengthen IHG's market positioning and tap into the demand from business, leisure, and social travellers in the region.
Sudeep Jain, Managing Director for South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, stated that the group was pleased to reinforce its Bengaluru presence with the introduction of two well-placed hotels. He noted that the location serves as a significant demand driver for multiple travel segments.
At present, IHG operates 51 hotels across six brands in India. Alongside its existing portfolio, the company has a robust pipeline of 72 hotels scheduled for launch within the next three to five years, reflecting its long-term commitment to the Indian market.
The upcoming Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express will serve both corporate and leisure guests, adding to the group's diverse offerings. Together with its expanding pipeline of 72 properties, these projects reaffirm IHG's strategy of sustained growth in India's evolving hospitality sector.
