Synopsis

Lucknow Development Authority is preparing to hold a lottery for 332 residential plots in the Anant Nagar housing scheme, scheduled to take place later this week at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan and streamed live on the LDA's YouTube channel. Over 8,500 applicants had registered in the second phase, which offered plots ranging from 112.5 sqm up to 450 sqm. The township, spread over 785 acres, includes over 2,100 residential plots, 60 group-housing blocks with 10,000 flats, 5,000 units for EWS/LIG households, and 3,000 PMAY homes, along with modern infrastructure and a dedicated Edutech City.

The Lucknow Development Authority will conduct a lottery for 332 residential plots under the Anant Nagar housing scheme this week. The draw is set to take place at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan's Mercury Hall and will be live-streamed through the authority's YouTube channel, ensuring transparency. This draw follows the second registration phase, during which 8,568 applicants applied online for the plots.

These plots vary in size: 121 plots of 112.5 sqm, 37 plots of 162 sqm, 50 of 200 sqm, 105 of 288 sqm, and 19 of 450 sqm. The Anant Nagar township spans 785 acres and is designed to accommodate roughly 150,000 residents. It includes around 2,100 residential plots, 120 commercial plots, and over 10,000 flats across 60 group-housing blocks.

The scheme also includes 5,000 housing units earmarked for Economically Weaker Sections and Low-Income Groups, expected to benefit over 25,000 people. In addition, 3,000 homes are planned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), reinforcing the project's focus on inclusivity. Infrastructure design is modern and sustainable, featuring underground cabling, wide roads, 130 acres of green spaces, and a dedicated Edutech City for students, faculty, and staff.

Earlier this year, the first phase of the Anant Nagar scheme saw over 13,000 registrations for 334 plots, with the lottery held over multiple days at the same venue and streamed live. That initial phase highlighted strong demand and set a transparent precedent for this second phase.

All applicants have already been notified of the draw schedule. The authority is proceeding with the process this week, building on earlier response and maintaining fairness through technology and live observation.
