State-owned NBCC Ltd has been appointed as the lead agency to develop and market a large-scale mixed-use project in Rajasthan, covering 95 acres with an estimated investment of around INR 3,700 crore. The project, approved by the Rajasthan government, will include multiple components such as the Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, a Global Capability Centre (GCC) Tower, an IT Tower, luxury hotels, and new commercial and residential infrastructure. NBCC will handle the design, construction, and marketing of the entire development on land owned by the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO).
The project site is strategically located along the B2 Bypass on Tonk Road, a key corridor for urban development. The Rajasthan Mandapam Convention Centre, to be developed on approximately 25 acres, will have a seating capacity of 7,500. This centre is expected to serve as a hub for large-scale conferences, exhibitions, and events, supporting both domestic and international business activities in the state.
NBCC Ltd, which specializes in project management consultancy and real estate development, has previously undertaken major infrastructure and urban projects across India. Its involvement in this development ensures structured planning and execution of a complex project that integrates multiple urban functions within a single area. The project is expected to enhance local commercial and residential infrastructure, attract investment, and contribute to Rajasthan's economic growth.
The inclusion of luxury hotels, commercial spaces, and IT infrastructure reflects a planned approach to create a self-sustained urban centre. Such integrated development is designed to provide a combination of business, leisure, and residential facilities, catering to both corporate needs and community living.
