The Gautam Buddh Nagar administration has directed that no construction work, including buildings or any form of development, will be allowed within a 20-kilometre radius of the Noida International Airport without a valid no-objection certificate. Authorities have cautioned that those who fail to comply with this order will face strict consequences.
During a review meeting at the Collectorate, District Magistrate Medha Roopam stressed the importance of keeping the airport's surrounding areas clean and free from waterlogging. The district magistrate also instructed that drones and lasers must remain fully prohibited, while awareness programmes should be run in nearby rural areas to ensure people understand these restrictions.
Officials were reminded that the safe operation of the airport and preparedness for disaster management remain top priorities. Departments across firefighting, medical response, rescue operations, police security, and civil defence have been asked to make arrangements to handle emergencies effectively.
