Synopsis

In a major push for transparency and efficiency, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has launched a fully digital and paperless system for the issuance of leases and lease deeds. The new online platform allows citizens to complete the entire process from home, utilizing Aadhaar-based e-KYC and digital signatures. This initiative is aimed at streamlining services and eliminating the need for in-person visits to the JDA office, making the authority's services more accessible to the public.

The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has taken a significant step towards modernizing its operations by launching a new online system that will handle all aspects of lease and lease deed issuance. This digital transformation is a departure from the traditional, paper-heavy process and is intended to make land-related services more efficient and transparent for all citizens.

According to JDA Commissioner Anandhi, the new platform is designed to be completely paperless. Applicants can now complete the entire procedure from the comfort of their homes, with all verification processes handled through Aadhaar-based e-KYC and digital signatures. This eliminates the long queues and multiple visits that were previously required at the JDA office, saving both time and effort for citizens.

A senior official at the JDA noted that the online system is comprehensive and handles various payment procedures, including stamping and stamp duty payments. The new digital process also applies to leasehold-to-freehold conversions, a service that no longer requires physical stamp papers or the physical signature of the deputy commissioner. This initiative is expected to streamline services and make them more efficient for applicants. The move is a clear signal of the JDA's commitment to leveraging technology to provide better governance and public services.
