The Noida Authority has launched an aggressive campaign against illegal construction by directing officials to file First Information Reports (FIRs) and proactively follow up on existing police cases. The Authority is creating a comprehensive database to track all enforcement actions, including notices, complaints, and sealed properties. This new system is designed to enhance accountability, prevent negligence, and ensure a more effective and coordinated effort against illegal encroachments, particularly in flood-prone areas.
In a stern warning to builders and individuals engaged in unauthorized construction, the Noida Authority has ramped up its enforcement efforts, directing officials to immediately register FIRs and take strict action against offenders. To ensure accountability and transparency, the Authority is developing a detailed database that will track every aspect of its enforcement actions. This new system will meticulously record details of issued notices, complaints, registered FIRs, and sealed buildings, providing senior officials with real-time progress updates and helping them to quickly identify any delays or negligence.
The crackdown is not limited to FIRs alone. Officials have been instructed to repair or replace damaged signboards to clearly mark Authority-owned land and discourage unauthorized activities. There is also a specific focus on preventing encroachments in flood-prone areas along the Yamuna, an effort that will involve coordinated action with the district administration, irrigation department, and police.
Lokesh M., the CEO of the Noida Authority, has issued a clear warning that any official found negligent in their duties will face strict disciplinary action. This proactive approach has already yielded results, with the Authority recently issuing notices to 39 individuals and companies in Salarpur Khadar village and carrying out demolitions of unauthorized constructions worth approximately INR 15 crore in Sorkha village. The new measures signal the Authority's commitment to creating a well-planned and legally compliant urban environment.
