Synopsis

Telangana has introduced a pilot project for e-Aadhaar-based property registration in the sub-registrar offices of Armoor and Kusumanchi. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the initiative is designed to make property registrations faster and more transparent. The government has already implemented a slot booking system, which has been widely used, with over 300,000 slots booked in recent months. Plans are also in place to establish integrated sub-registrar offices, including a major complex in Gachibowli, which will consolidate multiple offices and streamline registration services across key districts.

Telangana's Revenue Minister, Shri Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, announced the introduction of e-Aadhaar-based property registration. The pilot project will commence in the sub-registrar offices (SROs) of Armoor and Kusumanchi. This initiative is part of the state's ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and transparency of land transactions.

The government has previously implemented reforms such as the slot booking system for property registrations. This system has been well-received, with over 300,000 slots booked across various SROs in recent months. Minister Reddy emphasized that these reforms aim to reduce delays and improve service delivery to the public.

In addition to the e-Aadhaar registration system, the government plans to construct integrated sub-registrar offices across Telangana. One such complex is planned for Gachibowli, where Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is expected to lay the foundation stone in the near future. This initiative will merge approximately 39 SROs in districts like Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal, and Sangareddy into 11 integrated registration offices over the coming years. The Gandipet, Serilingampally, and Rajendranagar SROs will be relocated to the upcoming Gachibowli complex.

These developments signify Telangana's commitment to leveraging technology to streamline administrative processes and provide better services to its citizens. The integration of Aadhaar-based authentication in property registrations is expected to enhance security and reduce instances of fraud. As the pilot project progresses, it could serve as a model for other states aiming to modernize their property registration systems.
