The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is set to launch a cutting-edge 3D online platform aimed at streamlining the home-buying process in Bengaluru. This initiative will allow prospective buyers to virtually tour flats and villas, access detailed specifications, and complete the entire purchase process digitally eliminating the need for multiple office visits. The platform is expected to go live by the end of the month and will include features such as real-time updates, payment schedules, and interest-free registration for up to 90 days.
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is preparing to launch an innovative 3D online platform designed to transform the home-buying experience in Bengaluru. This platform will enable prospective buyers to virtually explore flats and villas, view detailed specifications, and complete the entire purchase process digitally, without the need for multiple visits to BDA offices. The initiative is expected to go live by the end of the month, marking a significant step towards modernizing the city's real estate transactions.
Unlike the previous online system, which offered basic booking options with limited floor plans, the new platform will provide comprehensive features. Buyers will have access to virtual walkthroughs of each unit, complete with information on total costs, availability, parking spaces, application deadlines, and payment schedules. This upgrade aims to eliminate the bureaucratic hurdles often associated with property transactions, offering a seamless and transparent process for home seekers.
One of the key advantages of the platform is its user-friendly interface, which allows buyers to complete all steps from application and document submission to payments and ownership certification online. The only exception is the final registration, which will still require a visit to the Sub-Registrar's office. To encourage timely registration, the BDA has introduced a policy where buyers will have up to 180 days to complete the process, with no interest charged if done within 90 days. Delays beyond this period will attract interest charges, promoting prompt action and reducing the risk of abandoned transactions.
This move comes in response to growing demand for more efficient and transparent real estate transactions in Bengaluru. By leveraging technology, the BDA aims to make home buying more accessible and less cumbersome for prospective homeowners. The introduction of the 3D online platform is expected to set a new standard for digital real estate services in the city, paving the way for other authorities to adopt similar innovations.
