Escorts Kubota is set to transform Noida into a key manufacturing center with a new INR 4,500 crore tractor plant spanning 200 acres. The facility will create employment for 4,000 people in phases and produce tractors, engines, and farm and construction machinery for both domestic and international markets. The initial phase will focus on core production and allied facilities, while the second phase will expand based on demand. Additionally, the company plans to support Kubota's global R&D operations from India, highlighting the country's growing significance in global manufacturing.
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has allotted approximately 200 acres of land in Sector-10 to Escorts Kubota Limited for setting up a large tractor manufacturing facility. The allocation follows the memorandum of understanding the company signed with the Uttar Pradesh government earlier for this project.
Escorts Kubota plans to invest INR 4,500 crore in the project, which is expected to create employment for 4,000 people in a phased manner. In the first phase, the company will invest INR 2,000 crore to establish a tractor manufacturing plant, a commercial equipment facility, and supporting infrastructure. The second phase will expand depending on market demand and the utilization of the first phase?s production capacity.
The facility will produce tractors, engines, farm machinery, and construction equipment to serve both domestic and international markets. The company also intends to establish shared services from India to support Kubota's global research and development operations.
Formed in 2019 as a joint venture between India's Escorts and Japan's Kubota, Escorts Kubota is positioning India as a global manufacturing hub through this project. The new plant is expected to strengthen the company's production capabilities while creating opportunities for technological development, industrial growth, and global exports.
