Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH) will invest INR 400 crore in Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) over the next four to five years. The investment, which will bring AHH's total capital in AINU to INR 1,000 crore from fiscal year 2024, is aimed at growing and expanding the urology and nephrology chain.

AHH, which currently holds over 70 percent stake in AINU, plans to use the new funds to expand the hospital chain from its current seven locations to 13 in the next three to four years. Most of the new hospitals are planned for Tier 2 towns such as Patna, Bhubaneshwar, and Coimbatore.

AINU is a large single-specialty chain focused on urology and nephrology care. It currently has a presence in seven locations, including two major metropolitan areas, Hyderabad and Chennai. This investment will not only help AINU expand its footprint but will also help AHH strengthen its position in India's healthcare sector, which is seeing a rise in demand for specialized medical services.
