Noida International Airport has joined hands with Anlon Technology Solutions to introduce the Cleanjet RRM, India's first indigenously built runway rubber removal machine. Mounted on the Eicher Pro 6028 chassis and compliant with Bharat Stage-VI norms, the machine offers a 100% chemical-free, high-efficiency solution for cleaning rubber deposits, oil spills, and paint markings using ultra-high-pressure water jets. Capable of covering up to 1,100 sq. m per hour, it promises improved safety and sustainability in runway maintenance.
Noida International Airport recently announced its partnership with Anlon Technology Solutions to deploy India's first indigenously developed runway rubber removal machine (RRM). This innovative equipment, named Cleanjet RRM, is engineered to meet the rigorous standards of runway safety and operational efficiency.
The Cleanjet RRM is built on the Eicher Pro 6028 chassis and leverages ultra-high-pressure water jet technology to clean runways, taxiways, and aprons. According to the official statement, it removes rubber deposits, oil spills, and paint markings without the use of chemicals, ensuring an eco-friendly and damage-free surface for aircraft operations.
The machine is powered by a Bharat Stage-VI-compliant diesel engine, complemented by an auxiliary CAT C9.3B engine and a robust Hammelmann high-pressure pump. This combination facilitates precise, non-abrasive cleaning while maintaining strong performance.
The system is capable of cleaning between 800 and 1,100 square metres every hour. With dual tanks of 8,000 litres each for fresh water and debris, the machine can operate for more than four hours continuously, thus reducing downtime during essential runway maintenance schedules.
It also features a smart suction mechanism that collects wastewater, rubber residue, oil, and paint fragments directly at the nozzle, leaving the surface dry and immediately usable. The equipment is fitted with multiple cameras and a 12-inch display for real-time monitoring, and it can store operational footage for up to a month to boost safety and accountability.
The machine's emergency-readiness was also highlighted, with its ability to swiftly clear the runway without requiring component disassembly. Its modular and user-friendly design allows the cleaning head to be adjusted or removed with ease, simplifying both transportation and storage.
The airport operator conveyed that this initiative reflects Noida International Airport's strategic focus on integrating advanced and sustainable technologies to reinforce safety and operational excellence.
