GIDA has begun allotting plots in the newly planned Dhuriyapar Industrial Township after receiving clearance from Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. Spanning over 600 acres across 17 villages, the project will be Purvanchal's largest industrial land bank. Plot allocation has started in two sectors, with land acquisition ongoing. The region is evolving into a key industrial corridor with plans for electronics, cement, biogas, and distillery units. Backed by infrastructure like the Gorakhpur Link Expressway and a new rail link, the township is expected to generate over 10,000 jobs. Major firms like Adani and JK Group have expressed interest, supporting GIDA's INR 25,000 crore investment push.
The Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA), following approval from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has began allocating plots in the Dhuriyapar Industrial Township. GIDA's CEO revealed that land acquisition, launched across 17 villages, has secured over 600 acres so far.
In the first phase, plot distribution is targeting two industrial sectors, while land acquisition and plot allotment proceed in tandem. Once operational, this township will represent the largest industrial land bank in Purvanchal, and is expected to draw investors and entrepreneurs alike, drawing the region out of its former underdevelopment.
Southern Gorakhpur has already transformed from a barren landscape into a burgeoning industrial corridor spanning 5,500 acres, with planning underway for electronics manufacturing, cement plants, distilleries, and a biogas unit at a former sugar mill site.
Infrastructure backing this expansion includes connectivity enhancements via the Gorakhpur Link Expressway and the upcoming Sahjanva-Dohrighat rail link. Major groups such as Adani, Shri Cement, Keyan Distillery, and JK Group have registered interest and requested industrial parcels.
Projections indicate the township will support over 10,000 jobs, adding momentum to GIDA's broader initiatives following investments of around INR?25,000?crore, establishing IT parks, Plastic Park, and other sector-specific clusters in recent years.
