Synopsis

Hrithik Roshan and his father Rakesh Roshan recently sold three residential properties in Mumbai for a total of INR 6.75 crore. Rakesh sold two flats one in Veejays Niwas CHS for INR 3.75 crore and another in Raheja Classique for INR 2.2 crore while Hrithik sold a smaller unit in the same Raheja complex for INR 0.8 crore. All three transactions were registered in the past week. This move is part of a broader trend of celebrities actively managing their real estate assets, shifting from residential holdings towards income-generating commercial spaces.

Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan have recently sold three of their residential properties in Andheri West, Mumbai for a collective sum of approximately INR 6.75 crore. These transactions, registered over the past week, mark a noticeable shift in how the Roshan family is managing its real estate portfolio.

Rakesh Roshan sold a spacious 1,025 sq ft apartment in Veejays Niwas CHS, complete with two car parking slots, for INR 3.75 crore. The deal attracted a stamp duty of INR 0.1875 crore and a registration fee of INR 0.03 crore. He also sold a 655 sq ft unit in the Raheja Classique complex for INR 2.2 crore, with taxes and charges amounting to approximately INR 0.1323 crore.

Hrithik Roshan, on the other hand, sold a compact 240 sq ft apartment in the same Raheja Classique for INR 0.8 crore. The stamp duty on this transaction was around INR 0.048 crore. All three properties were registered in the past few days, according to documents accessed from IndexTap.

Interestingly, this isn?t the first time Hrithik has been in the property news this year. A few months ago, he leased a commercial space in Goregaon for a monthly rent of INR 5.62 lakh and also renewed the lease on a commercial property in Pune for INR 6.08 lakh per month. These moves suggest a growing preference for commercial real estate investments within the Roshan family.

Andheri West continues to be a prime location for both residential and commercial interest, thanks to its connectivity, proximity to the airport, and thriving business districts such as SEEPZ and BKC. The area is also a popular residential choice among Bollywood personalities. The Roshan family's decision to exit from these homes could reflect a broader trend of celebrities realigning their real estate portfolios for greater financial optimisation.
