Synopsis

ACES India, a subsidiary of Saudi-based ACES, has signed a 13-year strategic agreement with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to roll out high-speed 4G and 5G mobile infrastructure across 62 metro stations under Phase 1 and 2 of Namma Metro. Using a neutral host model, ACES will provide seamless mobile connectivity for over 300 million annual commuters. The partnership supports Digital India and smart mobility goals by enabling multi-operator access, reducing network duplication, and accelerating rollout timelines. ACES has already worked on major telecom infrastructure projects across India, reinforcing its commitment to building future-ready digital frameworks in public spaces.

ACES India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Saudi Arabia-based Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems Company (ACES), has signed a pivotal strategic agreement with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).

Following a competitive bidding process and a formal Letter of Acceptance received earlier this year, this long-term collaboration empowers ACES to deploy, operate, and maintain high-speed mobile infrastructure across 62 metro stations, spanning both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the network.

The initiative will ensure seamless 4G and 5G mobile coverage across both elevated and underground sections of the metro, significantly enhancing the daily commute experience for the more than 300 million passengers who use the service annually.

ACES will implement a shared telecom infrastructure model, often referred to as a neutral host model. This innovative approach allows all telecom operators to offer uninterrupted services through a single, efficient system.

Maheshwar Rao M, Managing Director of BMRCL, stated that this partnership represented another step towards delivering future-ready mobility solutions while prioritizing sustainability and operational efficiency. He added that the new infrastructure would support multiple operators, minimize duplication, and enable faster deployment of 4G and 5G services, assuring commuters across these corridors of uninterrupted connectivity during their metro journeys.

Dr. Akram Aburas, Group CEO of ACES, commented that India holds a vital position in their global growth strategy. He explained that this partnership with BMRCL solidified their commitment to supporting digital transformation in Indian cities through robust telecom infrastructure. Mohammed N. Mazher, Managing Director, ACES India, added that this agreement marked a significant milestone in their journey within India. He expressed pride in contributing to Bangalore's public infrastructure by providing a scalable, future-ready connectivity framework for Namma Metro.

The agreement, spanning 13 years with a potential two-year extension, also supports India's broader push towards the Digital India initiative and smart mobility. ACES continues to expand its footprint across India, having previously undertaken key telecom infrastructure projects at Bangalore International Airport, Mumbai Metro Line 3, Noida International Airport, Surat Diamond Bourse, Kanpur Metro, and Agra Metro.
