The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will begin online registrations on July 11 for 332 residential plots under the Anant Nagar Scheme. This second phase of the 785-acre eco-friendly township will offer plots from 112.5 to 450 sqm and will be allocated through a lottery system. The scheme includes housing for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Groups (LIG), with 5,000 units, and 3,000 PMAY homes. Featuring an Edutech City and zero-liquid-discharge systems, the project aims to house over 25,000 people, following a strong response to its first phase.
The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is set to begin online registrations for residential plots starting July 11. This move impacts the Anant Nagar Scheme, located along Mohan Road in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, aiming to make new housing opportunities available to residents as part of the second phase of a large township development.
This second phase of the Anant Nagar Scheme offers 332 residential plots. These plots range in size from 112.5 to 450 square meters, and their allotment will be done through a lottery system. The Anant Nagar Scheme spans 785 acres and is designed as a modern, eco-friendly township. It includes specific provisions for housing, such as around 60 group housing plots for 10,000 flats.
Approximately 5,000 housing units are specifically for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Groups (LIG), with the goal of housing over 25,000 people. Additionally, 3,000 houses will be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The township features wide roads, underground power cabling, and a dedicated 100-acre Edutech City. It also includes about 130 acres of parks and green zones. The scheme is promoted as the city's first zero-liquid-discharge township, incorporating advanced solid waste management systems.
The online registration process for this second phase will remain open until August 10. They will need to purchase the registration brochure and deposit 5% of the estimated plot cost. The first phase of the scheme, which offered 334 plots, saw 13,000 participants register in April-May. The lottery for those allotments was held from June 10 to June 13.
LDA Vice Chairman Prathmesh Kumar expressed optimism for the second phase, citing the strong response to the first phase and the authority's commitment to providing world-class amenities. Such schemes are often launched by Urban development authorities to provide planned housing options to a wide range of income groups, contributing to controlled urban growth and addressing housing demand, whereas online registration and lottery systems aim for transparency in allotment.
