The Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) will host its inaugural Renewable Energy Summit 2025 on July 15 in Mumbai. Organized with Avendus, EAAA Alternatives, and Singularity Capital, the summit aims to accelerate capital deployment and public-private collaboration in India's clean energy sector. Amidst India's non-fossil fuel power capacity reaching 44%, the event will convene global and domestic investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs. Discussions will cover clean power finance, renewable energy's role in EVs and AI, energy storage innovations, and policy. The summit highlights India's position as a top destination for clean energy investments.

The Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA), India's industry body for alternate capital, is set to host its inaugural Renewable Energy Summit 2025 on July 15 in Mumbai. Organized in collaboration with Avendus, EAAA Alternatives, and Singularity Capital, the summit aims to promote capital deployment, innovation, and public-private collaboration in the renewable energy space by convening leaders from various segments of the renewable energy ecosystem.


The summit comes at a time for India's clean energy landscape. In 2024, renewables made up 83% of total power sector investments. The country's non-fossil fuel power capacity reached 44%, steadily moving toward the government's 50% target by 2030. India has also ranked third globally in capacity addition. The IVCA Renewable Energy Summit 2025 aims to accelerate capital deployment, innovation, and public-private collaboration in the renewable energy space. It will bring together global and domestic investors, policymakers, regulators, corporates, cleantech entrepreneurs, and innovators.

Speakers include Shri Ananth Narayan G, Whole Time Member, SEBI, and Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Odisha, along with others. Summit sessions will cover accelerating clean power finance in India, the role of renewables in enabling Electric Vehicles (EVs), Artificial Intelligence (AI), green hydrogen, and clean infrastructure. Topics also include innovations in energy storage, grid technology, hybrid energy systems, and policy perspectives for accelerating clean energy deployment.

Aakriti Bamniyal, Senior Vice-President, IVCA, stated that the summit is designed to drive capital flows and spark collaboration in shaping a greener India. Prateek Jhawar, Managing Director and Head, Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment Banking, Avendus Capital, expressed optimism about the energy transition ecosystem, noting that achieving a net-zero future requires participation from investors, companies, and regulatory bodies.

Subahoo Chordia, Co-CEO, EAAA Alternatives, highlighted that India's energy sector is undergoing transformation and requires significant investments in the coming years. Suyash Kela, Partner, Energy Transition, Singularity, stated that clean energy is fundamental to global and India's growth story. The IVCA is a not-for-profit industry body promoting the alternate capital industry and fostering an investing ecosystem in India, representing over 450 funds with a combined AUM of over USD 350 billion.
