Synopsis

Infosys has recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art development centre at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar, aimed at delivering cutting-edge digital solutions for global Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) clients. Designed to support over 1,000 employees operating in a hybrid model, this facility focuses on key areas such as digital banking, regulatory compliance, trade finance, and capital markets. By harnessing emerging technologies including AI, generative AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and blockchain, the centre is set to bolster India's role in the global financial technology ecosystem while creating significant employment opportunities in the region.

Infosys has established a new development centre at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar to enhance its offerings for global BFSI clients. The facility, with the capacity to house more than 1,000 employees working under a hybrid setup, was inaugurated by Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel.


The company highlighted in a regulatory statement that this centre will serve as a vital TechFin hub, delivering sophisticated digital solutions across crucial domains such as digital banking, regulatory affairs, trade finance, capital markets, card payments, and risk and compliance management.

Leveraging advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, generative AI, cloud services, APIs, cybersecurity measures, and blockchain, the centre aims to facilitate seamless cross-border services. This strategic move is anticipated to strengthen India's standing in the global financial technology landscape.

The Chief Minister remarked that the centre's focus on talent development, collaborative innovation, and advancements in digital banking and capital markets will not only create valuable employment but also accelerate Gujarat's progress towards becoming a global frontrunner in next-generation digital infrastructure and financial technology.
