The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will conduct a lottery on June 10 to allot 334 residential plots in the Anant Nagar Scheme at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. The township will feature a 100-acre Edutech City, 130 acres of green spaces, underground power cables, a grid road network, and a zero-liquid discharge system. The road connecting to Kisan Path will be widened to 24 metres to improve access. Land acquisition and compensation efforts are underway. Anant Nagar reflects Lucknow's push for sustainable, affordable urban housing and modern infrastructure.

The Lucknow Development Authority will hold a lottery on June 10 to distribute 334 residential plots in the Anant Nagar Scheme. This lottery will take place at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, with applicants invited to witness the transparent selection process. Over 13,000 individuals registered online between early April and early May to participate in this coveted scheme.

Covering a vast 785 acres along Mohan Road, the Anant Nagar Scheme is one of Lucknow's most ambitious residential projects to date. It is designed to accommodate nearly 150,000 residents, incorporating a total of 2,100 residential plots, 120 commercial plots, and 60 group housing plots that will collectively offer more than 10,000 flats. Importantly, approximately 5,000 buildings will be dedicated to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) categories, housing over 25,000 individuals and aligning with the objectives of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for affordable housing.

During a recent site visit, District Magistrate Vishakh G highlighted the urgent need to widen the existing connecting road between the scheme and the nearby Kisan Path. Currently measuring between 7 and 10 metres in width, this road is set to be expanded to 24 metres to improve accessibility and traffic flow. Officials have been instructed to facilitate the required approvals from relevant departments to ensure the road widening progresses swiftly.

The township's infrastructure is being thoughtfully planned with a focus on sustainability and modern amenities. Roads will follow a grid layout and be complemented by underground power cables to enhance safety and aesthetics. A notable feature of the development is the planned 100-acre Edutech City, which will include hostels and residential buildings catering to around 10,000 students, teachers, and faculty members. Additionally, 130 acres have been allocated for green spaces, including parks, which aim to improve the overall quality of life for residents. The scheme is also pioneering a solid waste management system and is on track to become the city's first zero-liquid discharge residential project, setting a new benchmark for environmentally responsible urban living.

Regarding land acquisition, the administration has made concerted efforts to ensure timely compensation for farmers affected by the project. Although the funds have been transferred to the Additional District Magistrate responsible for land acquisition, some landowners had not yet submitted the necessary forms to claim their payments. To resolve this, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sarojini Nagar has been directed to station revenue officials at the site office, assisting farmers in completing the required documentation and expediting compensation disbursement.

The online registration window for the lottery closed earlier this month, with applicants notified of the upcoming draw. Those who identified errors in their application forms have been given until early June to rectify them.

This large-scale residential project reflects the growing demand for affordable, modern housing in Lucknow and highlights the government's commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure. The comprehensive planning and innovative features of the Anant Nagar Scheme aim to provide a model township that balances residential needs with environmental sustainability.
