The Supreme Court rebuked the Karnataka government for delaying compensation to landowners for land acquired in 1986, deeming the 33-year delay unconstitutional under Article 300A, which protects property rights. Patna landowners can now upload land details via self-declaration on the Revenue and Land Reforms Department's portal, with the deadline extended to February 2024. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) plans to fast-track land acquisition for various housing projects in the city. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena approved the reconstitution of the Delhi Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
